Charles F. Vallotton died in 2014, the year of his 100th birthday, after a busy life. This dentist from Lausanne treated in the second half of the twentieth century prestigious personalities like Charles Lindbergh, Charlie Chaplin, Coco Chanel, Rothschild, Rockefeller, Gianni Agnelli, Gina Lollobrigida, Yul Brynner, Audrey Hepburn. Few people know that this extraordinary clientele went to Lausanne to benefit from a dental art at its highest level. The extreme discretion shown by Charles-F. Vallotton during his career was highly appreciated by his illustrious patients, many of whom became his friends. Charles F. Vallotton confided to the author his exceptional career, from son of customs officer to the star of dentistry, through the professorship in universities in the USA. In his lifetime, out of modesty, he had always refused to publish his biography.
