Although Netflix offers an account for children, switching from this account to the adult account is very easy.
To make sure that your child will not fall on inappropriate content, it is best to set up a parental control.
Netflix offers different types of parental controls. And you can activate these before giving the password to a child, or before giving him a tablet or smartphone with Netflix installed on it. The most effective option is the one that blocks the content and asks for a PIN when it is an inappropriate movie or series (depending on the classification system used by Netflix).
How it works ?
Open your Netflix account on a browser (on a computer)
In the menu, top right, click on “Account”
Then, in the settings, click on “Parental Controls”
Your password will be asked. Enter it
You will be asked to create a 4-digit PIN before you can activate parental control
By default, all content types are selected (so no content is blocked).
In addition to the ability to block content based on age classification, you can also create a list of specific movies or series for which you want parental control to apply.
