As smartphones with 108-megapixel cameras have just hit the market, a manufacturer is reportedly preparing to launch a smartphone with a main 192-megapixel camera. However, it is not a high-end smartphone, but rather a mid-range model with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chip.

Today, only a few recent Android smartphones have a 108-megapixel main camera. However, the media is already raising the possibility that smartphones with a 144-megapixel or even 192-megapixel camera may be presented this year.

There have been rumors for several weeks that Samsung is currently preparing for mass production of a 144-megapixel sensor for smartphones. Other sources suggest that among the manufacturers who could use this camera, there is Xiaomi, which already uses Samsung’s 108 megapixel sensor on the Mi 10, the Mi 10 Pro as well as the Mi Note 10.

Other interesting information: it will obviously not be a high-end smartphone, but rather a mid-range mobile. Indeed, unlike the premium models of 2020 which use the Snapdragon 865 chip, the one mentioned by this new rumor would use a Snapdragon 765G chip.
