Greta Thunberg was born on 3 January 2003 in Sweden, Stockholm. She is the daughter of Malena Ernman, an opera singer and Svante Thunberg, a film actor. Greta Thunberg has a sister, Beata. Greta Thunberg has Asperger Syndrome, a form of autism without intellectual disability.
Young environmental activist, in August 2018, Greta Thunberg calls for a global climate strike. Instead of going to school, Greta Thunberg goes to her country’s parliament to demand the urgency and importance of the fight against global warming. She speaks for the first time at COP24 in December 2018, in Poland. Then in January 2019, she develops her ideas in Davos, Switzerland, in front of the leaders and decision-makers of the whole world. An international event to discuss a better way of conceiving globalization. On this occasion, Greta Thunberg asks to act faster in the field of ecology.
Thereafter, she returned to class and went on strike every Friday. Thus, every Friday, in different countries, many students follow this strike. On March 15, 2019, Greta Thunberg calls for a global strike for the future.
On 21 July 2019, Greta Thunberg receives the Freedom Award in Caen. She is rewarded for her investment in freedom. On 23 July 2019, Greta Thunberg is invited, along with other young activists, to Paris, by the Vice-President of the National Assembly to discuss the climate emergency. This official visit is disputed by some members.
